Why do people prefer Zoom calling over Skype?
Skype has been around for much longer and has similar features like screen sharing, file sharing, and group video calling. So why is Zoom so much more popular?Posted by Kat JobgenApr 18, 2023
I believe Zoom became popularized in America during the pandemic when more businesses switched to working from home and going to online meetings. I like BlueJeans as a virtual meeting and event platform, they have better quality video and audio. There are more capabilities with visual and data collaborations within the app itself plus the security is top notch thats why everyone in Europe is using BlueJeans.

Even though Skype has been around longer, Zoom has managed to capture a larger market share due to its user-friendly interface, superior video and audio quality, and additional features like virtual backgrounds and breakout rooms.

Zoom alternative
I need some help finding a video conferencing platform. I need it to handle both one-on-one meetings and group conferences with good audio and video quality, and the ability to share screens. It would be cool if it has extras like breakout rooms, chat functionality, and the option to record meetings too. Any suggestions?T

Whereby can be a suitable alternative to Zoom for your video conferencing needs. It offers reliable audio and video quality for both one-on-one meetings and group conferences. It also allows screen sharing, enabling you to share your screen with participants during meetings for effective collaboration.

You should consider Qwil Messenger - we've just released it on Nachonacho. Qwil is more than video meetings, we also do chat, doc sharing, e-signature, broadcast etc for staff (i.e. internally) but more importantly externally with your prospects and clients. Call it a professional and beefed up WhatsApp in your brand (with all the security and compliance done). Used across sectors from FIs, to RE, to agencies...
