What are the best search SaaS for private/personal data?
Looking for a decent "personal search engine" service.N
Posted by Nicolas CharoenloetFeb 5, 2023
Yes wondering if there is a service that could help indexing and searching over personal notes and files (google drive, dropbox, gmail, etc.). Could be useful for teams as well, as data can be siloed over multiple location (confluence, g docs, etc.)
Posted by Andrew KaruzaFeb 4, 2023
Can you help me understand the use case more? Is it for background checks or something else? :)

What are some good vector databases SaaS?
Looking for storing about a few thousands document embeddings and performing a similarity search. Any good open-source project works too.I

Try Algolia, it supports vector fields and cosine similarity search. Elasticsearch is also an open-source option.

Posted by Nicolas CharoenloetFeb 11, 2023
I tried Algolia, it doesn't seem to support vector search, only keyword search. "Easy" won't yield result with "straightforward", same for "deep learning" and "machine learning". Have you been able to do vector search with Algolia?

What's the best practice to design app API?
What are some best practices for designing an API for a mobile app in order to ensure that it is functional, reliable, easy to use for developers, and secure in terms of protecting sensitive data and preventing unauthorized access?Posted by Arabella O'ConnorJan 16, 2023
Best practices for designing an API for a mobile app include defining your purpose and intended audience, using a clear and consistent naming convention, using HTTP status codes, implementing authentication methods, providing detailed documentation, testing the API thoroughly, monitoring for performance issues, implementing rate limiting, and regularly updating and deprecating outdated features.
Posted by Haider BrayJan 4, 2023
Number one is to focus on creating an API that is functional, reliable, easy to use for developers, and secure in terms of protecting sensitive data and preventing unauthorized access. Using a consistent and intuitive design and providing support and documentation would also be on top of my list.

Xitoring vs Pingdom
I'm a new SaaS user, and I'm torn between Xitoring and Pingdom for my website monitoring needs. Looking for insights from those who have used either or both of these tools. What's been your experience?Posted by Jacqueline SteinAug 2, 2024
I gave Pingdom a try initially, but I found Xitoring to be more budget-friendly, and its customizable dashboards were a huge selling point for me. Xitoring's data retention and analytics are also better suited to my needs.

FreshService integration
How do I integrate FreshService with other tools and systems that my organization uses?Posted by Andre HowardJan 16, 2023
To integrate FreshService with other tools and systems, determine which tools and systems you want to integrate, check if FreshService has built-in integrations with them, use integration platforms like Zapier or Integromat if necessary, or use FreshService's API to build a custom integration if needed. Hope that helps!
Posted by Marian VoicuJan 4, 2024
You can also use PROCESIO to build custom integrations using FreshService API
PROCESIO is a bit more technical than Zapier or Integromat, but way more powerful.

The live interview feature is where CoderPad truly shines. Collaborative coding in a real-world coding environment gives you a genuine sense of how candidates approach problem-solving and work under pressure. The variety of languages and frameworks supported is impressive, and the browser-based IDE is intuitive for both interviewers and candidates.

Building a SaaS - what should I be aware of?
My partners and I are finally in the process of building our first SaaS entirely in Go. I know you are probably thinking there are easier options like Rails or Laravel. But building infrastructure tooling is how learned Go and I think it doesn’t really get enough credit.I was wondering if there are other start-ups like us, going solo with Go. What tips can you share to someone who's just starting out?
