TripLog mileage question
May I inquire how tax refunds work for TripLog or any other mileage tracker app that you may use? I am interested to know whether it is more advantageous to keep the app running throughout my entire shift or pause it intermittently, such as in between rides. It appears to be a favorable opportunity if we are permitted to use it while traveling to rides or in between rides. For instance, I drove 86 miles last night and earned $66. According to TripLog, my estimated tax return is $46. Based on my calculations, I expect to pay approximately $21 in taxes, resulting in a $25 refund for just one day. This seems almost too good to be true.
Thank you for your assistance.

I think it may be more advantageous to pause the app intermittently when you are not driving for business purposes to avoid including non-deductible miles in your calculation.

If you only use your vehicle for business purposes, then keeping the app running throughout your entire shift may be more beneficial. However, if you also use your vehicle for personal use, then pausing the app during those times may be necessary to avoid overestimating your business mileage.

Curious about TripLog's Accuracy - Any Discrepancies?
I recently started using TripLog for mileage tracking, and while it seems pretty efficient, I'm curious to know if anyone has experienced any discrepancies in the automatic mileage tracking. How accurate has TripLog been for you?T

TripLog's accuracy has been impressive. The GPS tracking is quite precise, but occasionally it struggles in areas with poor signal. To mitigate this, I make it a point to double-check my entries, especially in those tricky signal spots.
