Funding growth in a tight VC market

Funding growth in a tight VC market
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the community. As a former serial founder of Saas companies, a former VC and now a provider of non-dilutive revenue-based funding, I'd love to help you with your strategy for funding growth this year.

I'm curious how many of you are looking at debt/non-dilutive funding and how many of you have been successful with securing equity term sheets in this environment. Do you have strategies/tips to share? Do you have questions you'd like for the rest of us to weigh in on?

Hi Leah,

Great question! If you'd like, please add your LinkedIn to your NachoNacho profile and it will show up next to your name, allowing new prospects to connect with you over on your professional profile as well.

I personally know quite a few CPG companies that would be interested in non-dilutive revenue-based funding. Do you guys also do inventory loans? In my experience having been the CEO of a CPG B2C company, it's always best if the company can bring some sort of retail contracts and other collateral to the offer to get lower rates. I think a lot of the community here and others in my network would love to learn more about what criteria needs to be met in order to work with you.

Hi Andrew, I know a number of brokers and other lenders, so I can help with introductions for factoring of receivables, inventory loans, etc.

Lighter Capital provides unsecured funding that is based on high-gross-margin revenues -- no collateral -- no personal guarantees. Because we are betting on revenue growth, we need predictable revenue, which is often a saas subscription or other recurring (annual/monthly contract) revenue. And due to needing predictable revenue, we fund more B2B companies than B2C. But we can fund some B2C companies.

That sounds like a pretty good deal considering the alternatives a lot of companies come across. Have you talked to the NachoNacho partnership team about getting listed in the partnership section with this offer?

We are a partner and provide a 10% discount on financing to the NachoNacho community. And anyone can set up a consultation with me. I'm a teacher at heart (teach at Cal and Stanford) and am happy to discuss all funding options with any founder.

Navigating a tight VC market is always challenging. We've found that focusing on organic growth, optimizing operations, and building strong relationships can help create sustainable funding pathways.

Hi everyone, I was pleased to speak on the NachoTuesday webinar last week. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_2C7i0eN0o If you have any questions about how to consider the tradeoff's between equity funding and loans, please let me know. Or if you have been taking Merchant Cash Advances (and please don't ever if you haven't started doing that), I'd be happy to help you calculate your true cost of capital.

I am an adviser to multiple startups and founder myself, and over time realized that I started looking at debt based/convertible/and or option based funding as a preferred option especially between growth based rounds.
I found that the main difficulty is lack of education on those investment strategies, and an array of misconceptions. Often times investors don't want to consider more complex instruments even though they might create a higher upside potential even in roi KPI terms.
I would love to see more webinars, or accessible Q&As, LinkedIn articles or similar educational resources.
