Deel Business Invoicing
We are using Deel for Business payroll. How do you calculate the platform fee on the invoice?I
Posted by Isabelle SalehFeb 10, 2023
I've used Deel recently. If I'm not mistaken, when you create the EOR contract for your employee, a management fee in USD will also be set for that specific employee.

You can calculate it by multiplying the total amount paid to the contractor by the platform fee percentage, and add the result as a separate line item.

TripLog mileage question
May I inquire how tax refunds work for TripLog or any other mileage tracker app that you may use? I am interested to know whether it is more advantageous to keep the app running throughout my entire shift or pause it intermittently, such as in between rides. It appears to be a favorable opportunity if we are permitted to use it while traveling to rides or in between rides. For instance, I drove 86 miles last night and earned $66. According to TripLog, my estimated tax return is $46. Based on my calculations, I expect to pay approximately $21 in taxes, resulting in a $25 refund for just one day. This seems almost too good to be true.
Thank you for your assistance.

I think it may be more advantageous to pause the app intermittently when you are not driving for business purposes to avoid including non-deductible miles in your calculation.

If you only use your vehicle for business purposes, then keeping the app running throughout your entire shift may be more beneficial. However, if you also use your vehicle for personal use, then pausing the app during those times may be necessary to avoid overestimating your business mileage.

What's the best recurring payment processing service for monthly billing in SaaS or websites that charge monthly subscriptions?Posted by Edie OrrJan 2, 2023
Stripe for sure. It is widely used by SaaS and other businesses that offer monthly subscriptions.
Posted by Maia CampbellJan 16, 2023
Look into Paypal, Melio, Chargebee and Stripe. For me, Chargebee is the best recurring billing software because of its easy-to-use interface and comprehensive suite of features and products.

I am excited to have joined Nacho Nacho's marketplace.Retrievables connects businesses that are owed money to law firms that concentrate their practices in the area of collections.
Collections law firms distinguish themselves from traditional collections methods like in-house efforts and utilization of collections agencies by employing the tools of the court system to collect.

Curious about TripLog's Accuracy - Any Discrepancies?
I recently started using TripLog for mileage tracking, and while it seems pretty efficient, I'm curious to know if anyone has experienced any discrepancies in the automatic mileage tracking. How accurate has TripLog been for you?T
Posted by Tsuji HoshikoApr 22, 2024
TripLog's accuracy has been impressive. The GPS tracking is quite precise, but occasionally it struggles in areas with poor signal. To mitigate this, I make it a point to double-check my entries, especially in those tricky signal spots.

Xero and Multi-Currency
I'm curious about how it manages multi-currency transactions. If you've dealt with foreign currencies in Xero, can you share your experience? And are there any hidden costs or fees related to this?A
Posted by Anonymous #7122Sep 28, 2023
There are no hidden fees but you'll need to subscribe to the 'Established' plan, which is the only Xero plan that supports multi-currency at this time. Xero receives exchange rates from XE.com on an hourly basis & selecting a base currency / adding foreign currencies is a fairly easy process. This may be helpful:

I've been using Xero primarily with USD and EUR. It updates exchange rates daily, but you can also manually enter rates if needed. This has been quite useful for invoice accuracy. As for fees, Xero itself doesn't charge anything extra for multi-currency support, but you need to be on their Premium plan.

How does Bench ensure data security?
I've been considering using Bench for managing my financial data, but I'm curious about how they handle data security. If you've used Bench, could you please share your experience with the platform's security measures and how confident you feel about entrusting your financial information to them? Thanks a bunch!R
Posted by Ray GeorgeAug 25, 2023
I've been using Bench for a couple of years now, and I must say that their commitment to data security is impressive. They use bank-level encryption to protect financial data, and access is strictly limited to authorized personnel. Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security. Plus, regular security audits provide peace of mind. Overall, I feel quite confident in Bench's data security measures.
