I'd also add that if you build it from scratch you have more control over the 'weight' and efficiency of your site. Many website builders lead to bloated sites.
Leaner, more optimised sites built form scratch can often lead to better performance and user experience - which helps with SEO. But more than that, you'll be also have more control on your websites' carbon footprint.
You can then use tools like @digital carbon online to measure, track and report on your entire website carbon footprint, helping you further optimise, reduce CO2 and improve not just your green credentials but your customer experience too.
