The Wittario platform consists of two components; an online solution for creating games and a mobile app for playing. A game will typically consist of navigating to records using the mobile phone's GPS and maps. At each post, there are tasks to answer. 

Wittario consists of just three simple steps:

Create your own game

In Wittario Manager, our web-based management tool, gamemasters can create their own game, or take inspiration from our game library of over 1.000 ready made games. Use our templates as a starting point or build your own learning content. A GameMaster can easily add learning content by uploading a video or picture file and type or copy any text.   

A GameMaster can choose from 6 different task types when creating a game. 

1. Multiple choice

Select one or many responses from a given list of options.

2. Free text

Write a text response.

3. Photo

Take a photo with your mobile phone as a response.  

4. Video

Record a video with your mobile phone as a response.  

5. Confirmation

No answer needed. Just reflect and confirm that a task is understood and
completed.

6. Augmented Reality games

We use Augmented reality technology and game mechanics to make the
questions more fun, engaging and interactive. Categorize alternatives in two
predefined groups by placing interactable scrolls inside two labeled chest
with the corresponding group name. Several question types will be supported
in times ahead.

Gamemaster can choose from four different game types, creating flexibility for playing a game:

• Indoor or outdoor.

• With or without movement.

1. ROUTE GAME

Gamemaster places tasks in a specified route. Participants must follow the specified route in the Wittario app to retrieve and answer the tasks. Played outdoors.

2. DISTANCE GAME

Gamemaster distributes the tasks in a specified distance. The participants must move the specified distance in the Wittario app to access and answer the tasks. Played outdoors.

3. QR GAME

Gamemaster creates games with individual or group QR codes. These can be printed and placed with or without location hints. Participants must scan the QR code(s) to retrieve and answer the tasks. Played both indoors and outdoors.

4. NO MOVEMENT GAME

Gamemaster creates a game where the tasks automatically appear and are answered continuously when the game is started. Played both indoors and outdoors.
